Lelant Saltings – An adult LITTLE GULL was seen and photographed (to follow) from The Old Quay House Car Park this morning before flying off towards the harbour. Also, the WATER PIPIT showed well, 20+ Ringed Plover and the SPOONBILL were present. (M. Halliday)
Copperhouse Creek – High Tide late morning produced 4 Snipe, 18 Redshank, 4 Ringed Plover, 2 Greenshank, 20+ GBB Gulls, 4 LBB Gulls, 22 BH Gulls, 6 Shelduck, 2 Rock Pipit and 2 Stonechat (P.Freestone)
Lelant Saltings – Birds at high tide this morning viewed from The Old Quay House Car park included: SPOONBILL, 2 Sanderling, 78 Dunlin, 8 Grey Plover, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 12 Oystercatchers, 60+ Teal, 2 Greenshank, 34 Ringed Plover, 18+ Redshank, 4 Little Egret.
The SPOONBILL was seen from the old railway platform at Lelant mid-afternoon before flying into Carnsew Pool. A Common Gull, 3 Med Gulls, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and 2 Greenshank were also present. On the main estuary male and female Goosander were on the main channel this afternoon. Also present were: 7 Rock Pipit, 180+ BH Gull, 87 LBB Gulls, 116 GBB Gulls, 18+ Redshank, 45 Curlew, 60+ Wigeon, 79 Lapwing, 6 Golden Plover, 13 Shelduck and 38 Carrion Crows. (P.Freestone)
